Coping with COVID19

The impact of the coronavirus pandemic has become a reality for all of us. WE ARE WITH YOU during these times of physical distancing, adjusting to new ways of doing things, spending time thinking about everyone’s safety and making sense of the world around us. The government have issued an additional 10 sessions to your existing Mental Health Care Plan and extended Telehealth (phone or video) services indefinitely.

Newport Counselling & Psychology Service (NCPS) will continue to offer Face to face and Telehealth sessions for our clients and will continue to adapt to the changing landscape this brings. We will keep in touch with your via our facebook posts and regular newsletters about any changes. Our clinicians will use their clinical judgment (in collaboration with you) regarding your personal needs and keeping in mind the needs of the wider community.

Newport Health & Wellbeing (NHW) : As there are still community transmissions, please wear a suitable face mask and arrive on time. Please “buzz once” and your clinician will open the front door, show you to the room for your appointment and escort you from the building. We ask that you not use the waiting room at this point in time. You will be required to adhere to our hygiene and physical distancing procedures.

If you have been unwell: If you have been unwell in the last 3 days or are awaiting your COVID test results, you are not permitted to enter the NHW building. We will be happy to offer you Telehealth sessions instead.
