Graciela is a thoughtful and warm clinician with a therapeutic approach that is client centred and evidence based. She is a registered psychologist, member of the Australian Psychological Society, a Board Approved supervisor and a registered medicare provider. Graciela has a humanistic approach to psychotherapy which is influenced by a client centred approach and the principles of psychodynamic theory. She believes that individuals have capacity for change no matter at what stage they are in their lives or challenges they face and that the relationship between herself and her clients (18+ years) hold the key to meaningful change in people’s lives.
Graciela has over 26 years experience in the provision of assessment and psychotherapy to individuals with a wide range of presentations. She has extensive experience working with complex trauma reactions and severe mental health problems and with migrants, refugees and people with a wide range of cultural backgrounds
She has an interest in working with trauma survivors, grief and loss, mood and anxiety disorders as well as individuals with presentations related to life changes.
She uses a number of evidence based interventions in her work including CBT and EMDR depending on her client’s goals and needs.
